Network Administrator

Requirements

A High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years related schooling and two (2) years related experience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals thirty-six (36) months.

Responsibilities

Monitor data communications network to ensure the network is available to all system users.
Resolve data communications problems.
Recommend and implement policies, standards and security related hardware and software to ensure adherence to security procedures.
Responsible for documentation of equipment installed, serviced and any changes to computer configurations.
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software products.
May inspect communication wires and cables.
Train co-workers and system users to use equipment.
Coordinate the installation of or install communication lines.
Works independently with little or no direction.
