Requirements

A High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years related schooling and two (2) years machining experience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals thirty-six (36) months.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run multiple machines including mills, lathes, drills, CNC and manual.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine most efficient set-up and use of tools.
• Program using machine language, the tool path and tool changes.
• Sharpen tools or select and change inserts.
• Verify that machined parts are within drawing specifications.
• Maintain records of set-up.
• Work with Estimators and Supervisor on problem parts.
• Lead a team of co-workers in the machining area.
• Train new members in the team.
• Work independently with little or no direction.
