CNC Programmer

Requirements

A High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year related schooling or two (2) years of CNC Programming exerience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals twenty-four (24) months. Having proficiency with Cadkey, Geopoint software and machine language.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings and specifications to determine proper programming sequence.
Develop geometry using Cadkey to represent required drawing features.
Unfold three-dimensional drawings to develop flat patterns.
Calculate bend radii and develop flat patterns manually.
Determine and establish cutting sequence and other perimeters with post processor software.
File in computer hard drive and on disc programs.
Load program files into machine tool and run parts.
Check completed parts for dimensional accuracy and for other quality criteria.
Revise programs per new revisions.
