Requirements

The following listed articles are required (or as deemed necessary by the hiring authority) for the initial acceptance of a Material Handler.  A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Have minimum of one (1) year of experience.  Prefer that candidates have a good knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks of materials using a forklift truck.
• Verify paperwork for accurate material count and type.
• Move, stack, load, or unload material in and about plant.
• Stage materials needed near required area.
• Assist in loading of trucks.
• Assist shipping in loading outgoing freight.
• Maintain stocking areas in good order.
• Use time and material effectively to meet or exceed Company’s requirements Advise Supervisor of problem areas.
• Perform an acceptable amount of work with few or no errors.
